The AP2C-V is a chemical agent detector used in fixed (shelters, storage area) or mobile (reconnaisssance vehicles, light vehicles) positions. It's used to detect all G agents (GA, GB, GD, GF), VX, HD. The AP2C-V is particularly suitable for use in rough conditions on a reconnaissance vehicle: fast and remoted-controlled turn on, immediate identification and measurement, data transmission by remote-control, insensibility to direction and speed wind up to 100 km/h, dynamic dust filtration system, fast response, and zero return time. The AP2C-V is a flame spectrophotometer. Air containing toxic agents is drawn in and heated to a high temperature in a hydrogen burner. The elements emit rays in their spectral characteristic emissions. The AP2C-V detects the atoms of Phosphorous and sulphur.
